batgirl (2000) thoughts & reading list
batgirl 2000 is so insane and i wish i started reading it sooner. holy shit.
i really really love cass' arcs throughout the issues, and i love love love love the dynamics between her and babs, her and bruce, her and steph, and her and david. like augh...this family is so messed up but they try to care about each other and do their best but it's not enoughhh. something so special to me about steph being the only one who really understands cass....babs wants her to be a normal teenage girl, and bruce thinks it's too late for that and that batgirl is the answer and then the problem and really he needs to let cass make her choices and find her freedom and live her own life and steph understands that and augh.
i'm almost done with it, i'll probably finish it up this week. work has been throwing a wrench in my comic reading time but i've gotten pretty far into it so far. issue 50 the issue of all time. god. highly rec this series to anyone who hasn't read it yet.
once i finish batgirl 2000, i'm going to finish up my modern wilson family reading (finish deathstroke inc [ugh], start brave & the bold [for rose <3]) and then look back around to hit the judas contract and maybe deathstroke 1986 [might have the year wrong. but i'm avoiding this one for many reasons]).
i feel like the comic reading list never stops. it just continually gets longer and longer lol. once i finish up wilsons and batgirl i'm starting in on green lantern and green arrow. i have more batfam stuff i need to read but i think they've mostly been pushed to the back burner in my mind. still looking for a brief green lantern reading list - i might ask my uncle where to start, because he really likes green lantern, and it could turn into a bonding thing. anyway. writing this down here mostly for my own reference.
- Green Arrow 2001
- Batgirls (i've fallen to their silly girl whims)
- New Teen Titans (i reallyyyy need to read this one already)
- Spirit World (shoutout to
luckyzukky for getting me into cass she's the reason both batgirls and spirit world are on here <3)
- Wonder Woman Historia
- All Star Superman
- Bruce Wayne Murderer/Fugitive
- No Man's Land (i've started it like five times i need to sit down and finish it)
- Gotham Knights (i've read half of it, and like it so far, again, i just need to finish it)
- Batman Rebirth and Detective Comics Rebirth (pretty low priority compared to older comics but i want to be caught up)
- Outsiders 2003 (have heard good things)
it will only grow from here djkfhak
