supergirl

Supergirl my beloved <3. I am planning on going on an all Supergirl reading spree. And as always, I am doing that completely out of order. Instead of doing a planned reading because I am bad with those, I just gathered some important books and the surrounding issues I want to read.

So my girl Kara has had multiple eras throughout her life. Classic pre-crisis, weird 90s Supergirl, 2000s brought back Supergirl, New-52 version, Rebirth version and her current form. And because I am consistent in being an inconsistent reader, I have started with reading her 90s era <3.

Matrix, aka Mae Kent is the new Supergirl. She is a shapeshifting energy life-form created by an alternate Lex Luthor in a parallel pocket dimension, who fused her being with an Earth girl, Linda Danvers, who has done a lot of wrong in her life and gotten mixed up in the dealings of demons. The result of the fusing is the new Supergirl, who is the Earth-born Angel of Fire.

Currently I am reading her main solo, Supergirl (1996), but I want to read her former mini-solo - Supergirl (1994) - too, her first appearance and other appearances of her in other books. I know she appeared in Young Justice (1998), and I've already read that issue, so that is at least one appearance checked off the list.

Later on, I want to start with her 2000s series, Supergirl (2000) and her other important appearances. I love teenage Kara so much, she is such a delight.

And then... her 80s series, Supergirl (1982). Linda Lee Danvers my beloved. And maybe I will read some Rebirth too (even though based on the cw show I am still curious and it doesn't look too bad) and some Silver Age as well :).
